Welcome to my Art, Astronomy and Photography Blog. In my professional life I am an Art Director and Production Designer in the animation industry. Some of my film credits include "Anastasia", "Titan AE" and "Barnyard the Original Party Animals". I have also worked on TV Shows like "The Simpsons", "Beavis and Butthead", "Back at the Barnyard" and "Planet Sheen". Although I am very passionate about what I do for a living my other passions are photography, painting, astronomy, astrophotography and anything to do with NASA so the subject matter of most of my paintings is related to the space program and I have enhanced some of my photographs to give them an extraterrestrial feel. Extraterrestrial Photography


When I was 12 I was given my first scope as a gift. Since then I have had two others and today I have a CGEM-800 Celestron Telescope. My Celestron Telescope arrived in January of 2010 and I started astrophotography for the first time shortly there after. Many of my captures are taken with a Sony F-828 and last year I started using a Philips SPC900NC webcam. The webcam captures AVI files (video) which are then processed using software called RegiStax that turns the video file into one final image. The process is fantastic for capturing planets and the moon. The moon in the images below is a mosaic made from 45 individual captures and then seemed together in Photoshop. My other hobby is landscape photography so I thought it would be fun to have a go at combining the two. The images with the DSO's in them are captures from my good friend Trevor Woodrow that I combined with my landscape images.
